HathaYoga

It's December 2017 and I am listing all the visible and tangible things accomplished until this point in my life.
Everything started with a challenge which caught my eye on a blog that I follow for a while, because I've sniffed around the practice for years.
Simple, easy, one posture per day, for a month. And I did it!
After that, I got the bug and could't shake it off. One of my next desires was to make this quote happen:

,You are only as young as your spine is flexible'
                                                                                       Joseph Pilates

Which meant for me to do the 'Urdhva Dhanurasana' or how one of my poses at the sports assessment for graduating high a.k.a. the bridge.
Practice makes perfect as they say, I know there is a lot of room for improvement.

Also, practicing more makes me comfortable and self centered so no more shyness (at least when doing it ha. ha.)

Catch-up

Dear journal,

My colleague was in the papers last week and the only one who thought it was something amazing, was him. In a way, me and my blog are the same, but because I care about it, I always come back.
I turned 30 last year so I went through my middle age crisis. See, I still have my auto-ironic sense of humor.
31 now, so no reason to be sad anymore, I overcome it. What helped, you might ask.
Think was more listening to myself, more workout, yoga and meditation. Of course I was also  traveling and making the choice to feel good as many times as possible.
Since I last saw you I visited Amsterdam, Edinburgh, Bucharest, Piatra Neamt and a few beaches in UK.

Oh by the way I made a commitment in December 2016 to eat less meat (chicken, pork, beef) and until now, I am pretty proud of myself. I am gradually excluding dairy and eggs. Can't go back to what I used to eat and if I do, my stomach tells me that I have made the wrong choice.

I need to tell you about Culcus, maybe next time...

It's first of June today, Happy Kids Day, for all kiddies, young or old.
Facebook said I graduated Uni 8 years ago. Oh the joys of life.

So, to sum up 2017, mostly it was this:

Work,work,work

Got to do a bit of this also:

Bath
Stonehenge with friends

Victoria Park with friends

Big Ben with Andreea

Hyde Park with Andreea
Amsterdam

2018 is coming soon with a fresh taste...

Barcelonaaa

What can I say about Barcelona besides I loved it? It has one of my favorite things in the whole wide world, the sea. First thing we did is to go there, have a Sangria by the beach...
Playa de Barceloneta

Playa de Barceloneta II

Parc de la Ciutadella

This park was a 5 minutes walk from our hotel, witch we don't recommend, El Balcon Del Born. The only thing great about it is the name. The first time in there, the whole park was vibrating from the sound of drums, there were some people who were playing in the centre of it and it sounded amazing.

Review 2016 - New Haven

Time for UK now. Yes it wasn't very hot, yes it was windy, yes it rained in one of the days we were there.
Went camping with some people because that's what you do when you're almost 30 and you are not a regular camper. The trick was to drink a bit and dance a lot so you get exhausted and don't feel the stones and ground when you sleep on it.

Not a lot of pics because I lost them somewhere..will look and post them later.

Nope, not going in the water!

Brilliant view, though.

Soothing views

Ferry in the moonlight.

Lovely sunset.

And the day after doom and gloom.

2016 Review - Amsterdam

Hoi!
Sooo...Amsterdam in September. Three days of tasty treats and awesome sights to see.
When you are working in an office all week, you need some sun and fresh air, at least that's what I think. It's not that UK doesn't have some nice places but there's something about Holland that I love.

It may be this..
..or the hipster food...

...or the lovely houses...
...or yahts?

...had some nice walks...

...and bike rides.

When days feel sometimes like some beads that you count on a piece of string and I keep wishing my life away by waiting for the weekend, I wonder why I don't do this more often. Like every weekend.
Will be back soon with New Haven.

2016 Review - Romania

Yes, yes I know, I'm not writing about the whole country but it's about 3 cities and just Romania is easier to fit in the title.
In June 2016 I went in my home country. After a full year of adventures I wanted to see how it felt to be back where I lived for 28 years. To cut it short, I could't shake the 'filming' feeling. The whole 2 weeks was like a movie that I had to film and watch after the experience had ended.
Bucharest first. With it's hot and dusty vibe. I lived there for a few years so meeting up with friends was a delightful experience.
Piatra Neamt was next. My small home town with the beloved mountains and river.

It was nice seeing mum, dad and some good fiends but time flies by so on to the next location near Pitesti.

Walks with friends

The rest is history, good times, train rides from hell and happy to fly back to UK. Funny enough Brexit was happening in the same time as our trip but we felt no difference, yet.
See you next year RO!

2016 Review - MADRID

Okay, seems like it's a trend on my blog to do only the beginning and the end of the year now. I have decided to write about my travels because living in London doesn't leave me with a lot of free time to write more. Here we go. February was when I went to Madrid. First time in Spain and how exiting was that.

El Retiro - Jardines del Buen Retiro de Madrid

Seafood Paella for the first time. Yum!

Went there with my friend Andreea, for a lovely city break. I arrived first at 03.00 PM, checked in our lovely apartment on Plaza de Mayor and had a walk and some shopping at one supermarket near by. Prices were ok and weather was sunny but chilly. At 22.00 I met Andreea at the Atocha station. It was great to see her after so many months (we haven't seen eachother since I left Romania in June 2015). You can find below a selection form those days.
Royal Palace of Madrid.

Cannot commit to writing in a journal but I really wish I could keep these memories somewhere, so I can read them in the future. This is the best place because internet is the future.Next blog post will be about Romania.Coming soon.

Prague 2015

Hello 2016!

I have been thinking a lot lately about making videos. Since I was a little girl I loved editing.

Excuse the quality and rough angles but I have to start somewhere so I can learn.

Here's some pics, just so I can be excused for the quality of the video.
